
David is the youngest of the SNP’s 22 councillors; prior to the election he was the Glasgow Convenor of the SNP’s Youth Wing, The Young Scots for Independence. After winning the election David stepped down as Convenor to devote all his time to working for the people of the Baillieston ward.
David says
“I’m very proud and honored to have been elected to serve the people of Baillieston along with Councillor Mason, I think the election of 22 SNP councillors is great news for the whole of Glasgow, we will bring a fresh approach to the council, we will be accessible to the people and listen to their concerns and act on their behalf at all times”
David previously worked with a number of Voluntary Organisations such as the Prince’s Trust and the Citizens Advice Bureau, he plans to use the experienced learned during this time to good use and serve his constituents in the most professional way possible.
“The communities that make up the Baillieston ward have been neglected by Labour politicians for too long, I will work tirelessly every day of the next 4 years to transform our community and city for the better.”
David is committed to being a hard working and effective full-time councillor, as well as performing his duties as a Bailie, David is a member of the Finance and Land/Environment committees.
